St. John's Council
Church Council
At St. John’s Lutheran Church, our Church Council is a team of committed members who help guide and support the mission, ministry, and daily life of our church. We meet regularly to prayerfully oversee the spiritual, financial, and organizational health of our congregation.
Each person on the Council brings unique gifts and serves in specific areas — from property and worship to outreach, education, and finance. Alongside our pastor, we work together to make thoughtful decisions that reflect our faith and serve the good of the whole church body.
We don’t just handle logistics — we see this as a ministry of service. Whether we’re reviewing the budget, discussing upcoming events, or supporting new ministry efforts, our goal is always to help St. John’s be a place where people grow in Christ, feel connected, and are equipped to serve.
We’re honored to serve, and we welcome your prayers and partnership as we continue to seek God's guidance for our church.
How We Serve
The Church Council at St. John’s plays an active role in the life of our congregation. We work behind the scenes to support the ministries of the church, ensure wise stewardship of resources, and care for the needs of our facility and staff. Whether it’s preparing for a new ministry season, reviewing the church budget, or responding to the needs of our church family, our goal is to serve faithfully and with integrity.
Why It Matters
We believe that good leadership in the church creates space for healthy ministry to grow. That’s why we approach every meeting and decision with prayer, humility, and a heart to serve. The Council helps set the tone for how we love one another, steward God’s gifts, and stay focused on our mission — to make disciples, grow in faith, and reflect Christ’s love in everything we do.
