Praise Through Song

Join Our Music Ministry

Over the years, St. John's has had a strong music tradition and an appreciation for the importance of music in worship. Listed below are several opportunities to praise God through song. New members are always welcome and we look forward to having you join us!

This choir for high school and adult singers meets from September through May. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings 6:45-7:45 pm in the choir room. Our choir sings during the 8:00 am worship service on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month and for special occasions, including our annual Christmas cantata.

St. John's bell choir rings in worship once a month, typically at our 10:30 am worship service. Rehearsals are on Wednesday nights from 5:00-5:50 pm. We play on a four octave set of Schulmerich Handbells and three octaves of Handchimes.

The band leads contemporary worship weekly at 10:30 am on Sundays and 6:00 pm on Wednesday nights. Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-6:30 pm in the Sanctuary with a short Sunday morning warm-up at 9:45 am.

Our brass group for high school and adult instrumentalists offers music during festival Sundays, such as Reformation Sunday, Christmas Eve, and Easter.

Other Instrumentalists and vocalist are always invited to share special musical offerings during worship.
