Personnel Committee St. John's Lutheran Church November 17, 2010
Present: Kay Peters, Steve Anderson, Kevin Richards, and Pastor Gary Absent: Mat Trotzig, Terry Claussen
We had one resume to look at so the committee will recommend to the board the hiring of Kristy Pecks for the part time office position. This will be approximately 8 to 12 hours per week at a wage of $9.00 per hour. Kristy will be under Kim's supervision.
St. John's Lutheran Church Personnel Meeting October 26, 2010

The Personnel Committee has recommended to search for a part-time secretary to work 8 to 12 hours per week and would be under the supervision of Kim. Position would be paid $9/hour. Pastor Gary will work on a job description. Advertising will be done through the bulletin and web site. Cutoff date for applications will be November 10th, 2010.
Interviews will be held shortly after.
Executive Committee will be contacted to gain approval of this proposal.
St. John's Lutheran Church Personnel Committee August 30, 2010
Present: Kay Peters, Mat Trotzig, Steve Anderson, Terry Claussen, Kevin Richards and Pastor Gary
Discussion was held on duties of lay staff and potentially updating the job descriptions in the operating manual.
We will be asking Kim Karen and Brad to make a log detailing what they do and the time involved in each task for the week of September 13 through September 17. We will also ask the staff to do a self-evaluation on their duties. We would like them to assess what they believe is important and what they do that may not be as important.
The personnel committee will meet again September 20th at 7:00 p.m. in the library.
