St. John's strives to offer educational opportunities for all ages.  From baptism to the elderly, the learning never stops.

 

Splash! Pack, Birth to Three Faith Formation.  This material is sent to the families with newborns and continues until the child is ready for Sunday School.  It contains a Parents Page and a music CD.  The Parents Newsletter is filled with ideas and inspiration for families to worship, pray, eat and play together.  The CD has songs that will help lull your child to sleep, get them moving to Bible story songs, and learn songs they'll hear in Sunday School.

 

Our Sunday School program is available for children ages 3 through 18.  We meet Sunday mornings at 9:30 am, September through the middle of May.  The current program that is being used is called Akaloo, which is inspired by the New Testament Greek word "to follow" (akolouthein).  Akaloo is lifelong intentional discipleship.  Each child can become registered and go to the Akaloo website at www.akaloo.org.  Learners and leaders may access articles, games and other materials to enrich their Akaloo learning experience.

 

                                              

Our Confirmation program called "Here We Stand" is a teen-relevant approach to confirmation that is active, modern and theologically sound.  Here We Stand digs deep into Luther's Small Catechism and Lutheran theology, the story of God's saving work in the Bible, and its relevance today.  We meet September through Palm Sunday on Wednesday evenings and is for youth in grades 7 - 9. Adult Sunday School classes are held in the church's dining room at 9:30 am throughout the year.  All are welcome!!!

 

We also have a Tuesday morning Men's Bible Study, which meets in the Library at 7:30 am, and numerous Women's Circles meeting monthly on varying days and at varying times.
